Did that go fast? Or did that go fast? It went fast. I cannot believe we are now saying goodbye to 2015. Personally, a transition in my life that I didn’t realize would actually happen. But it did. And it does not get any better than this!
I also realized that I have been compiling all my accomplishments and everything that I felt meant a lot since 2011! On my blog [yeah I had one], FB notes, post, I did!
So here is a synopsis of what 15 things in 2015 has done for me in no particular order but the first one. Pinch me as I’m still dreaming and cannot believe I’m here.
1] Married my best friend of 10 years on May 18th. I became a Mrs. Kingsley. We’ve been through so much. And as much as I thought and said that I wished we could have been with each other as a couple sooner, we both agreed that where we are now, led us to appreciate and love each other more. As better people for one another and to everyone else. In the end, we were meant to be with each other forever.
2] Hello to gaining weight – hey! It doesn’t have to be all positive!! This only meant I was comfortable happy. It also meant that for 8 months of no teaching fitness hiatus and sitting in the car for almost 4 hours daily/4-days a week can do that to a person!
3] Said goodbye to all my teaching jobs in the Philly/Bucks County area. But my heart and mind still stay the same with all the friendships I’ve earned and the fun experiences that I’ve had with all my students. I still kept in touch and will continue to visit and inspire.
4] Said goodbye to my full-time job of almost 7 years.
5] Said hello to my full time job 9 miles from my house as a group leader.
6] Said hello to a part time job as a personal trainer, sports performance coach and INSANITY live instructor at Spooky Nook. The largest indoor sports facility in North America!
7] Said hello to a seasonal job at lululemon and met the most incredible and inspiring group of friends! I really did. I couldn’t be any more grateful.

8] Trained with a 50K to run my actual 50K, along with a 5-mile race, couple 10Ks, couple 5K’s, 4 half-marathons and one full one.
9] Ran my 50K. The hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life! Really. But with Scott’s patience, support and constant motivation to keep pushing especially towards the last 10 miles, I did it! And did my #VeeFit4Fun signature power jump at the finish.
10] Was able to hang out at a team training camp with Colavita and ran a marathon in Florida while Scott was taking pics of the most phenomenal pro-cyclists, soigneur, and mechanic. I truly am blessed.
11] Got my first real bike [because it was not cheap] as my engagement present from my fiancé, now my husband.
12] Got my license to carry, I know, this is a big deal!
13] Won my first 5K, 2nd place for my age group and placed 5th for my age group for a half marathon in Pottsville. Not too shabby for a slowpoke like me. Please don’t ask how many participants were at these races.
14] Got certified for CIZE live and INSANITY live. Only 2 this year. I know, a slow year.
15] Husband registered me for a USA Cycling Ride Membership and joined a local cycling club, LancBike.
So that’s all. In a nutshell. From a nut like me. I can go on and on and bore everyone but I cannot say “thank you” enough. From Bucks County, to Lancaster. It’s been an exponentially huge change in so many levels. I’ve met so many good people in my life. I will not mention any names so I don’t miss anyone but there is one person I am truly thankful for, my husband, best friend, cycling coach, photography and fitness partner, you name it, he is my everything. When they say a man cannot read a woman’s mind…well, he can read mine! Even if he doesn’t want to admit it, he is truly amazing. So say goodbye to a very amazing 2015 and help 2016!
Last but not least, as I am typing this, Tom, my stepdad who was rushed to ER yesterday and had to stay at the hospital for a day, is literally back home safe and feeling good. Still not 100%, he has pneumonia. I cannot believe I am saying that this is good news as opposed to the other thing. It will be a good 2016. Happy New Year to all and be safe ☺.
Pictures to follow….
